Summer Kid’s Bags of Love
80 children x 10 weeks = 800 bags needed
One Summer Kid’s Bag of Love contains sufficient food for 2 children to have 5 breakfasts, 5 lunches, and 5 healthy snacks per week.
One bag contains: (items vary according to availability)
- 1 Large box of Cereal, or Instant Oatmeal, or Instant Grits (to equal 10 meals)
- 10 packs of Ramen Noodles (to equal 10 meals)
- 10 cans of Spaghetti O’s or Ravioli O’s, or other “Meal in a Can” To equal 10 meals (to equal 10 meals)
- 1-2 quarts of SHELF STABLE milk (to equal 10 meals)
- 5 Cans Fruit or Applesauce – or 10 single serving size (to equal 10 meals)
- 1 Jar Peanut Butter
- 1 Jar Jam
- 1 box snack bars, granola bars, or trail mix packets
- 1 box of snack crackers w/PB or cheese
- 2 Cans Soup
- 2 Cans Beanie-Weenies
- 2 cans of Treet, Spam or Vienna Sausages (or Tuna/Chicken)
To help us make 50 Family Bags of Love we will need:
- 100 packs of Raman Noodles
- 50 boxes of Spaghetti
- 50 bags of rice
- 50 cans of Spaghetti Sauce
- 50 cans of mild salsa
- 50 breakfast cereals/oatmeal/grits
- 100 cans of Spaghetti O’s, Ravioli O’s or other similar “Meal in a Can”
- 100 assorted boxes of Rice-a-Roni, Mac & Cheese, Flavored Potatoes
- 100 cans of assorted soups
- 100 cans of Fruit or Applesauce
- 50 jars of Peanut Butter
- 50 Jars of Jam
- 50 assorted boxes of snack bars or granola bars
- 150 cans of assorted veggies
- 150 cans of assorted tuna, chicken, spam, treet, vienna sausage, etc.

- 2 Boxes Rice-a-Roni, Mac & Cheese, or Potatoes like Au gratin, or
- Scalloped, or Hashbrowns
- 2 Cans Soup
- 2 Cans Fruit or Applesauce

- 3 cans veggies
- 2-3 cans of Tuna or Chicken or both
