Mark Jones, a resident of Cumming, grew up in Perry, Ga where he learned the importance of food for families while he was the President of the FFA Chapter for three years. As a young man, he witnessed food insecurity when his grandfather set aside funds during the year and bough pickup truckloads of food and delivered it to needy families during the holidays. Mark earned a Business Administration degree from Macon College (now Middle Georgia State University) and is currently the Technical Sales Manager for Jainchem in Taylors, SC. In his 24+ years of International Sales, he visited 96 countries where poverty was sometimes overwhelming even for the seasoned traveler.

Mark has been married over 37 years to the rock of the family, his wife, Lynn, who leads the crafts/cards projects for Meals by Grace. His hobbies include fishing wherever there is water, flat water kayaking and a gold mining sluice. These hobbies come second in football season because he is the VP of North Metro Football League and a Board Member of North Metro Football Officials. Spurred by a "Hack My Life' TV segment, love of chemistry and desire to make something for Lynn, Sydney Soaps, his brand of homemade soap bars, now keep the house and everyone in it smelling fresh.

A few years back, Mark and Lynn volunteered at a Meals by Grace Sunday Service with their small group from Mountain Lake Church and it was immediately a blessing to see an organization where a volunteer could show up, donate time and funds to make a hot meal and deliver it with enough food for a week to food insecure families where you put faces and names with the need being met. This service reminded Mark of his childhood helping his grandfather in rural Crawford County and motivated him to help the people of North Georgia know at least this week they have the security of food to eat and can focus on their families and their other needs.
