Sunday home delivery (Forsyth)
Meals by Grace volunteers serve Forsyth County families every Sunday at our 3540 Keith Bridge Road facility from 1 PM to about 2:30 PM. The parking team volunteers should arrive by 12:30 PM to assist with volunteer parking. Delivery-only drivers should arrive at their suggested times (look for suggested arrival times in your registration email) which begin at 1:45 PM. Please reference the parking diagram on the next page for all the parking options.

Who can volunteer?  Who can lead?

  • We have teams for every age! Even little ones can create "blessing cards" for our families.
  • Groups are also welcome! We ask groups to register in advance so that we can plan for you!
  • If leading a team of happy volunteers sounds like fun, please let us know so we can schedule you for leadership training with our John Maxwell-certified leadership trainer! There is no cost for this training.

What will I be doing?
By registering, you will be able to pick your serving team:

  • Breads and Desserts team
  • Dry/canned Goods team
  • Produce team
  • Parking team
  • Making laundry detergent & filling bottles team
  • Special projects team
  • Photography/media team

What is the normal day's schedule? Here is how the day will progress:

  1. Arrive at the pantry at about 12:50 pm. (Except Delivery only drivers)
  2. Grab your name tag (or stop to register at the welcome table).
  3. Meet us in the main room of the pantry for a discussion of safety rules & team instructions.
  4. When you are dismissed from the information meeting find your assigned team lead to gather with your team and have fun!
  5. Perform your team’s work.
  6. Receive final instructions from your team leader about clean-up and shutdown.
  7. Support the Delivery Drivers and, if you are available to deliver food, check with the Driver Check-in station to see if there are any families available.

Volunteering at the Pantry

Where and when?

There are many ways to volunteer at our Pantry. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays we sort the donations received and prep for Client Choice Pantry and weekend events. On Wednesdays, the Client Choice Pantry is open for families in need to shop via a points system from 10am to 4pm. Select the event you are interested in for details about the event! We are located 3540 Keith Bridge Rd. in Cumming. We have volunteers from all walks of life. Some are also pantry clients! Due to the nature of the tasks, children as young as middle school-age are welcome to come, if their parents also serve and provide supervision.

What will I be doing?

Our pantry events are fun and very active! Some of the possible tasks:
  • Sorting donations
  • Shopping with our client families (we will train you)
  • Stocking shelves
  • Administrative support
  • Prepping for upcoming events
  • Building break bags

Thursday home delivery (Dawson)

Where and when?

Meals by Grace food support volunteers serve Dawson County families every Thursday afternoon, meeting at the Meals By Grace Pantry location 3540 Keith Bridge Road Cumming GA 30041.

Please arrive to help unload the truck at 1:00 pm. We are finished and out the door to deliver by 2:30 pm. Enter the building, sign in, pick up your nametag and proceed to the delivery table to confirm your selected delivery families or choose from any available families. Each week we will provide additional instructions about what food will be packed for the delivery drivers. What will I be doing?

We will be packing shelf-stable foods, frozen meat, produce and bread into boxes, then delivering to the families we serve in Dawson County. Packing takes place from 1:30 - 2:15 pm. You will be out the door to deliver by 3:00 pm.
